What is Market Maker Model/ BUY Model or MMXM?
MMXM is a blueprint for how price will behave moving from Bullish PD Array to Bearish PD Array. It is very helpful because having an idea will allow you to enter precise trades with tight stops.
Of course, if you are not familiar with PD Arrays the whole concept of Market Maker Model will be basically useless so lets define that really quickly, just in case you don’t know.

What Is A PD Array?
PD Arrays are actually Premium (P) and Discount (D) arrays. It basically describes areas on a chart where you can see a reversal in price. This reversal can either be long term or short term depending on the time frame. The three high probability PD Arrays are:
The Market Maker Sell Model
The Market Maker Sell Model consists of five(5) parts or stages:
- Consolidation
- Buy Side
- Smart Money Reversal
- Sell Side &
- The Target
Here are a few things you will need to look for before a Market Maker Sell Model (MMSM):
- The higher time frame market structure should be bearish
- The next draw on liquidity or daily bias should be pointing lower
- There should be a buy program on the lower time frame prior to the HTF PD Array.
The Five (5) Phases Of The Market Maker Sell Model
The five phases of the market maker sell model are:
- Original Consolidation
- Accumulation
- Smart Money reversal
- Distribution
- Re-Distribution
Market Maker Buy Model
The Market Maker Buy Model MMBM is also made up of five (5) phases but they are in a slightly different order from the MMSM. This are the phases:
- Original Consolidation
- Sell Side
- Smart Money Reversal
- Buy Side
- Target
Here are the things you will need to look for before a Market Maker Buy Model (MMBM):
- The higher time frame market structure should be bullish
- The next draw on liquidity or Daily Bias should be pointing higher.
- There should be a sell program on the lower time frame prior to the HTF PD Array.
The Phases Of The Market Maker Buy Model
- Original Consolidation
- Accumulation
- Smart Money Reversal
- Distribution
And there you have it. You may need to go over it a few times in order to really nail it down but once you do, you will start to see the market in a totally different way and bae able to take advantage of setups that would shake you out previously.
